I really appreciated that Don not only did a great job on my oil change, but always does a 30 point inspection. When he went over what he found, I appreciated his honesty in advising me about what service needs are coming up, but also for not being pushy. He gave me quotes and left it up to us. He won our business!

We have used Don for our Volvo with 166,000 miles on it and he keeps it in great condition, as well as for replacing my daughter's entire Honda engine as well as maintaining my Volkswagen. He has worked quickly, efficiently, and inexpensively, always telling us what really needs to be done now, as well as what can wait awhile before being done. I was referred to Don and Tri Valley Automotive by a friend of mine who has been going to him for years. I took both my vehicles to him for service a Dodge Durango and a Chrysler 300. What was great about Don is that he explained exactly what was going on with the car and also why you would need/want to get certain repairs done now or later. I can honestly say that I will never go to another mechanic now that I have found Tri Valley Automotive. Don and his guy Ted are very cool and will give it to you straight. I highly recommend them.

Took my pointiac in to tri-valley for 90k service. The car was running rough and stops the idle was bad. All that is gone now and the car runs great! they got it all done in one day so it was ready for the weekend Thanks Tri-Valley Auto :)

I met Don through a car forum, and when my car's differential and axle broke, Don was the first guy I turned to. I really appreciate that Don took the time to patiently problem solve what was wrong, and in the end, I'm very satisfied with the work done on my car. Essentially, Don was able to help me determine the parts I needed to acquire differentials and axles are $$$ brand-new, so it helps to go search for used parts. Plus I learned more things about my car! But even though I acquired the parts Don and I agreed on, my car wasn't cooperating old car so a lot of parts were seized, or to get them out would mean breaking other parts...Other shops would've gone ahead and said It needed to be done..., but Don didn't. He took the time to figure out what the essential parts that needed to be fixed were, and changed parts accordingly! Overall, I will definitely come back if I need a professional to work on my car.
