Brake Service in Dublin, CA

Your brakes undergo extreme stress every time you drive. Over time, components like brake pads and rotors wear down, ultimately affecting your ability to stop on queue. Regular brake maintenance helps prevent costly repairs, improves vehicle safety, and enhances overall driving performance.

Brakes don’t always fail suddenly—most give warning signs before they become a serious problem. Watch for these common indicators that it’s time for a brake inspection:

  • Squeaking, squealing, or grinding noises when braking
  • Soft or spongy brake pedal that requires extra effort to stop
  • Vibrations or pulsations in the steering wheel or brake pedal
  • Longer stopping distances than usual
  • Strong burning smell after braking

If you experience any of these symptoms, visit our brake repair shop in Dublin, CA, where our talented mechanics can take care of you.

Brake Services We Offer at Tri-Valley Automotive

At Tri-Valley Automotive, we take a thorough approach to brake service, ensuring only worn or damaged components are replaced. Our goal is to provide a high-quality brake repair that lasts—not just sell parts you don’t need.

Brake Pad Replacement

Your brake pads press against the rotors to create the friction needed to stop your vehicle. We use premium ceramic brake pads, commonly found in vehicles like the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Nissan Pathfinder, and Toyota Tacoma. These pads provide longer life, quieter braking, and minimal brake dust. For heavy-duty trucks like the Ford F-350 or Chevy 3500, we use metallic or carbon-Kevlar brake pads for superior stopping power.

Brake Rotor Replacement

Rotors, or brake discs, work alongside the pads to stop your car. If the rotors become warped, grooved, or excessively worn, they can cause pulsating brakes, vibrations, and increased stopping distance. While resurfacing was a common practice in the past, replacing worn rotors ensures better performance and longevity.

Brake Fluid Exchange

Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which can lead to corrosion and reduced braking efficiency. A brake fluid flush helps maintain proper hydraulic pressure for more responsiveness.

Every brake service includes a courtesy multi-point inspection to evaluate your calipers, brake lines, master cylinder, and ABS system. We provide a digital inspection report with photos and recommendations, so you can make informed decisions. We believe in educating our customers, so you understand exactly what’s needed for your car, SUV, or truck.

Today a customer called and asked for a quote for a fuel pump replacement. They had just come home from a trip to Mexico yesterday and when they tried to start their Suburban this morning it wouldn’t go. After trying several times, it finally started. They took the truck to the Chevy dealer to be quoted a high price. At that point they decided to call around to see if they could fine a lower price. I was able to save them $300 so they decided to bring their Suburban to us. After they dropped it off, we checked the fuel pressure. Sure enough, it was low. It should be between 55-62 psi and it was several psi below that, plus it was bleeding back, which means it wasn’t holding pressure like it should. Replacing the fuel pump on a Chevy Suburban involves removing the ga ... read more
