Brake Repair in Dublin, CA. by Tri-Valley Automotive

"My Brakes are Squeaking" Your brakes are an important part of your vehicle. You want to make sure you can stop quickly when it’s critical. Since we want the same thing for you, and when we service your brakes, we keep that in mind. We are not out to sell you as many parts as we can…but only to replace those parts that are worn or damaged performing the best brake job possible. A good brake repair will provide you with the most miles of trouble free service.

Brake pads . . . There is an array of brands and several formulations of friction material on the market today. For cars such as the Honda Accord or Toyota Camry, SUVs such as the Nissan Pathfinder, or trucks such as the Toyota Tacoma, the most common formulation used from the factory is Ceramic. Being the style of choice in our shop ceramic brake pads provide the best compromise between longest life, quietest operation, and best modulation over the widest temperature range. In other words- they work great offering peace of mind. Also, they are relatively dust free. Some larger trucks, like the Ford F350 or Chevy 3500, require a Metallic or Carbon Kevlar formula; however, their needs are different from the grocery store taxi.

Rotors, or brake discs . . . The circular parts that the pads push up against creating the needed friction to slow your vehicle down. The surface of the rotors should be smooth and flat – if not, they can cause noise (squeaking, or grinding), or even a pulsating steering wheel. If the rotors are damaged or warped in any way, they should be replaced instead of re-surfaced. The end result is a higher quality brake job that will last as long as it should.

Educating you helps preserve the life of your vehicle. Brake pads and rotors are the major wear parts in the brake system. Of course there are other parts involved; however, their life expectancy is longer than that of the pads and rotors.

When a customer brings their car in with a brake complaint, we perform an inspection at no charge – whether it’s a noise, vibration, soft pedal or it’s just time to take a look. You’ll receive an estimate based on the repairs needed, and we will also advise on what might be coming in the future. We are not out to sell you as many parts as we can, like some major franchises. Our goal is to take care of you and your car, do the necessary repairs and nothing more, at a fair price. This is our value proposition to you.Brakes Repair in Dublin | Tri-Valley Automotive
