30K, 60K and 90K Services by Tri-Valley Automotive

Major Services | Tri-Valley Automotive One of the best things you can do for your car is to service it on a regular basis. Tri Valley Automotive knows that these services are important for the health of your vehicle. This can be as simple as an oil change every 5000 miles. This will at least keep your engine internals well lubricated and helps to make the engine last longer. Replacing the air filter helps to keep it running well, as a dirty filter will hamper gas mileage and power. Have it checked with every oil change and replace when needed. Usually it will need to be replaced at 30K miles. If you car has a replaceable fuel filter, many Toyotas and Hondas do, have that replaced at 60K miles.

Most car and trucks, since the early 2000′s, have 100,000 mile spark plugs. Yes, they will last to 100K, but often they are pretty much done by the time 90K rolls around. These will help with gas mileage, power and overall driveablity, meaning it will just run better.

Other servicing that important to do relates to your transmission. Once again, it comes down to changing the fluid and filter. VERY important to do on automatics, especially when it’s done regularly from new. Domestic truck transmissions benefit from this greatly. They tend to work harder than most car transmissions do, simply because it’s a heavier vehicle. And of course, trucks tend to be used like trucks, if you know what I mean.

As you can see, I’m a big advocate of fluid changes. In fact…I believe, that if all the fluids were done at every proper interval (or sooner), you could get 250,000 miles and more out of every car. Of course, this also might put me out of business. Cars would break less and it would get pretty boring for me, just changing fluids all day long.
